In the Educational Leadership Satisfaction Survey, the knowledge preparation provided by the EPP is assessed based on how well the program prepares the educators to do the following:
- Understand, advocate, and enact a shared mission, vision, and core values of high-quality education, academic success, and well-being of each student,
- Be aware of and professionally adhere to ethical guidelines with regard to personal conduct, relationships with others, decision-making, stewardship of school resources, and other aspects of school leadership,
- Strive for equality of educational opportunity and culturally responsive practices to promote each student's academic success and well-being,
- Develop and support intellectually rigorous and coherent systems of curriculum, instruction, and assessment to promote each student's academic success and well-being,
- Cultivate an inclusive, caring, and supportive school community that promotes each student's academic success and well-being,
- Develop the professional capacity and practice of all school personnel to promote each student's academic success and well-being through practices in recruiting, hiring, and training, as well as professional development opportunities,
- Foster a professional community of teachers and other professional staff to promote each student's academic success and well-being,
- Engage families and the community in meaningful, reciprocal, and mutually beneficial ways to promote each student's academic success and well-being,
- Manage school operations and resources to promote each student's academic success and well-being, and
- Act as an agent of continuous improvement to promote each student's academic success and well-being.
