Who Provides Services at the IU South Bend Community Counseling Clinic?
The counselors include graduate students earning their graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, and School Psychology through IU South Bend’s Department of Counseling and Human Services and collaborative programs. Students are enrolled in practicum/internship classes and are closely supervised by licensed clinical faculty members for clinical supervision.
Faculty supervisors hold graduate degrees in Counselor Education and Supervision, Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. On occasion individuals holding master’s degrees in Clinical Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy may also participate in the training of graduate students. All supervisors are licensed in the state of Indiana in their respective professions. Combined, these faculty have decades of experience providing high quality mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults.
Individuals willing to participate in counseling provided by supervised graduate students, in a training environment, are welcome to inquire about services.
